I welcome you to my new home here at WordPress with a picture taken at Versailles.  I am very excited to have all the features offered here at WordPress.  I will enjoy more control over my images, text and formatting.

I have been eating for health lately as I am trying to strengthen my immune system.  I have finally created a smoothie that contains many immune boosters and tastes great.  Here are the ingredients:

1/3 c blueberries

1/2-1 c kefir

3 T hemp protein

1 scoop whey protein (grass fed)

1 T pomegranate powder

1/2 t flax oil

1/4 c walnuts

1/2 banana

1 t -1T maple syrup

2 T powdered ginger or grated fresh ginger

1 handful spinach or dandelion greens

1 T chia seeds

1/2 t maca

enough leftover cold green tea to enable my immersible blender to liquefy all.

For dinner tonight I reached into my freezer for oven roasted tomatoes which I blended with goat cheese, walnuts, salt, herbes de provence and a bit of pasta water.  I put this mixture in a bowl and mixed al dente spaghetti. Simple and satisfying.

I have also been making my own kefir from kefir grains purchased at Cultures for Health. This has saved me money, as I was paying close to $5 for a quart of organic kefir but organic milk from pastured cows is only $1.75 a quart.  As I always have access to plenty of kefir I’ve been drinking it more regularly.  I can’t make it fast enough.

Naturally Delicious? Hmm. Reminds me of “Lucky Charms” cereal.

Do you mean that artificially flavored, and colored completely unhealthy cereal that I was forbidden to taste as a child? How could that possibly remind you of my healthy, happy blog?
    hmmmm.
I guess you can still rile me from thousands of miles away. 🙂
